Amanda S. Cherry
Amanda S. Cherry is an author, veteran advocate, and multidisciplinary storyteller whose work explores resilience, trauma, and the enduring search for connection. A National Guard veteran and former SHARP victim advocate, she brings both lived experience and deep empathy to her writing, crafting stories that are as unflinching as they are hopeful.
Her fiction and narrative work often center on complex characters navigating loss, identity, and healing, grounded in emotional truth and sharp observation. Beyond the page, Amanda creates digital storytelling spaces on TikTok through a range of distinct personas, including ObiMom Kenobi, Captain “Doc” Solo of the Mach-One Sober Bar, and the satirical Secretary of Fuckery Defense for the Church of Fuckery—each offering a unique blend of encouragement, humor, and community care.
Amanda is also the founder and former artistic director of a nonprofit theatre dedicated to serving veterans, first responders, and their families. With a background in acting, directing, and costume design, she believes deeply in the power of storytelling as a tool for healing, connection, and transformation.
